‘The grass is greener where you water it’
A life coach connects you to the person you desire to be and helps you plan a way to get there. Life coaching gives you time and space to grow and transform, allowing you to be the best version of yourself. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and lost in repetitive thoughts and coaching allows you to reflect and listen to your own voice without the judgement of others. It’s fair to say life can be noisy, it can be easy to lose your own thoughts in everyone else’s fears, pain and anxiety. Life coaching helps you find a way to silence the noise around you and focus on your own priorities, values and ambitions.
My job as a life coach is to help you hit that reset button, to bring you back to those dreams you had when you were a fearless child. To ignite that fire in your belly and bring you closer to the things in life that reconnect you to joy. To help you access the things you always thought you would do but somewhere along the way have told yourself you can’t. I know when we set ourselves goals and we don’t succeed the first time failure can knock our confidence but I am here to remind you that failure is not the opposite of success, failure is a part of success!
‘Some women fear the fire, some women simply become it’
To be clear, life coaching is forward focused and goals based. I am here to listen to you, to pull that inner voice out and reflect it back to you like a mirror. I am here to challenge you and any limiting beliefs you have told your subconscious mind. Remember that your subconscious mind needs no evidence, it asks nobody for permission, it just believes what you feed it and this is often where your negative, critical and darkest thoughts hide. According to scientific research, your conscious mind makes up less than 10 percent of your total brain function, that means that the subconscious or unintentional aspect of your mind represents around 90 percent of your brain so it’s a good idea to check in from time to time. We are a product of our thoughts, our thoughts determine our feelings, our feelings determine our actions and our actions determine our habits. With self reflection you are able to look at your future with clarity and put in place the right actions that serve you.
What life coaching isn’t
✩ I am not here to ‘fix’ anyone, you must do all of the work during and outside of sessions
✩ I will not force you to do anything or lead you in any direction, you are in the driver’s seat
✩ I am not here to give you advice or to tell you what to do
✩ I am not a doctor, I will not make a diagnosis during sessions and if you are worried about any symptoms you must see your GP
✩ I am not a therapist or counselor and we won’t spend time processing past traumas and why you might feel a certain way
✩ I am not here to make judgement or to enforce my own values onto you, I will not tell you what is right or wrong
